Australia’s leading practitioner of naturopathic and herbal medicine and creator of the internationally renowned Penelope Sach organic herbal tea range, Penelope Sach has added a new Green Tea blend called Genmaicha to her range of teas.
Penelope Sach explains, “Green Tea has always been in my range of teas as it’s naturally high in antioxidants that assist in the management of high cholesterol, weight loss and liver function, and is claimed to have anti cancer effects making it ideal for your daily health and wellbeing. The new blend Genmaicha is a traditional Japanese Green Tea blend, also known as “brown rice tea”, as it combines the finest green tea leaves with roasted brown rice.
“My Genmaicha blend comes from certified organic supplier in Japan, and the green tea used is grown in high quality soil, and in the perfect climate of wet and hot, to ensure the leaves are of the highest quality. The Genmaicha flavour is milder to that of “conventional” Green Tea as it infuses the fresh flavour of the green tea with the aroma of roasted rice making it softer on the palate. The flavour and taste of this tea is unsurpassed, and the high level of antioxidants makes it the perfect tea to maintain your health and vitality,” adds Sach.
Penelope Sach began developing her organic herbal teas in 1990 as a natural extension of her naturopathic consultancy business, and has since been appropriately donned ‘The Tea Queen’ by the media. Her teas can be found in household kitchens across Australia as well as exclusive restaurants, selected boutiques and international hotels from London and Tokyo to Sydney and Singapore.
Penelope Sach explains, “Proper fluid intake is one of the most essential components in maintaining a healthy system, and the importance of this inspired me to create my range of teas. Using my knowledge of specific herbs, their properties and the ways in which they assist and maintain healthy body functions, I have formulated blends to suit different health requirements and offer flavours that are appealing as any number of popular drinks.
“All of my teas are made only from organic herbal plants. They are vacuum-sealed to protect the natural healing properties of the essential oils within the blends and to maximise the flavour of what are refreshing and healthy drink alternatives. My teas contain no added preservatives or flavours, they can be served hot or cold, and re-infused up to three times,” adds Sach.
The Penelope Sach range of teas is available for purchase at www.penelopesach.com.au or in David Jones, Bondi Junction and the Sydney and Melbourne city stores.
